10/7/2019 1 Comment BIRTH! MAshallahOctober 4th, 2019, a day in the books that I can say got me so excited and humbled, and blessed- and than October 5th- took it to the next level.
A few weeks ago, I was sitting at home, and prayed about what my future is meant to go towards? Im working at a Chiropractic office, and I am also working with another Chiropractor in sales and workshop building. Oh also working at a pizza shop on the weekends. As I prayed, than a few moments later I decided, let me check an email address I hadn't checked in almost 9 months. As I checked it, I saw an email from a women, who in the subject literally put Oct 2nd Due date, I was like WHAT, am I suppose to be a DOULA again! How can I? Why did I not have an urge to follow this path for nearly 2 years. Why now? So of course, I immediately replied to her, and connected and decided to have a phone date the following day. We clicked immedietly, and after sharing price point, and need, decided to meet in person. SO RANDOM- Guess what race this family was! MIXED! My heart lite up. She is Persian, and he's a white boy! lol. Let me tell you, their connection was a special beautiful one. We immediately got into the nitty gritty, unraveling areas that we needed to get to so I could understand- nurture, and respect the bond they carry for one another. Within an hour, we all decided to make this official and hired me as their DOULA! I was humbled, and grateful, and nervous, but confident. After hugging mamma, and bonding for a little time with her, I knew I was conformable and not feared in touching her. I felt her warm, and she felt mine. She could feel me being there for her. For baby. For their family. Fully. And I gave it my all! Game day came, and it began early Oct 4th, mom and dad were a powerful team for sure. Dad reached out to me at about 840am, sharing with me the journey they had started since 1am that morning. He kept me in communication through out the day, and shared with me when contractions where getting closer or farther in between. I headed over at 530pm to their house. I made a quick stop at the juice shop and got mamma and myself a shake. Greens with bananas, and peanut butter. Only gave her a few sips because I was unsure how much she would drink and didn't want her to get sick or throw up and ruin her room. Now let me tell you, THIS QUEEN IS AMAZING!! She was so strong and powerful and was such a trooper in going through things. She truly listened when we asked her to listen to her body. Focus on her breathe. And the whole birthing. She was able to handle so much, and truly carried a strong threshold of pain tolerance. After enduring nearly 36 hours of labor and delivery, Baby Ebi. was born. At 4:14pm, via cesarian. Mamma and baby are doing amazing and healing so beautifully. So much deep respect for you mamma TJ. Thank you for all you did for your little one before he came into this world. And I am so excited to see you on this journey ahead in being his mamma. Sending you so much love!
